Liposculpture

Liposculpture, also known as liposuction or body contouring, is a cosmetic surgical procedure used to remove excess fat from specific areas of the body and improve body shape and contour. The procedure is ideal for those who are close to their ideal body weight but have stubborn areas of fat that do not respond to diet and exercise.

During liposculpture, small incisions are made in the skin and a small, hollow tube called a cannula is inserted to suction out the excess fat.

Liposculpture can be performed on a variety of areas of the body, including the abdomen, hips, thighs, arms, male breasts (gynecomastia) and neck. The procedure can also be combined with other cosmetic surgeries, such as tummy tucks or breast augmentations, to achieve a more comprehensive transformation.

After the procedure, patients can expect some swelling and discomfort, which can be managed with medication and rest.

Liposuction is frequently carried out under general anesthesia, and each patient’s recovery time will be unique. It’s crucial to adhere to the surgeon’s post-operative instructions, which may involve wearing a compression garment and refraining from some strenuous activities for a predetermined amount of time.
